First let's go to the origin of the thongs. The word thong comes from the Old English "thwong", that was a flexible leather cord. People believe that the first thong appeared in 1939 when New York Mayor Florello Laguardia ordered the city's nude dancers to cover up. So the thong was invented to "cover" themselves a bit more. Another belief is that fashion designer, Rudi Gernreich introduced the "thong-bikini" in 1975. And the last one is that the first thong or "tangas" were first seen in the beaches of Brazil. Jum... I believe that they were invented by the brazilians, I mean... those people don't like to cover up ( and I don't blame them) brazilians are known for their spectacular bodies.
